Based on the incredible true story of Eva (Evita) Peron, who starts out life in rural poverty, then rises to become an actress and eventually the wife of the president of Argentina, Juan Peron. Her political influence and charity works earned her scorn and fear from the military and upper classes but adoration and love from the working poor. The musical is a story of love and politics, showing all the battles and triumphs Evita has in her short, but amazing life.  Includes the classic song “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina”.
