| | On a stormy night in spring, two Englishman, Staff Sgt. "Froggy" LeSueur and his friend Charlie Baker arrive at a fishing lodge in rural Georgia. Froggy has brought Charlie along to help cheer him up, but Charlie is naturally shy and terrified at the prospect of spending time alone with strangers. Froggy comes up with a scheme to help Charlie avoid any unwanted interactions: he explains that Charlie is from a remote land and cannot speak or understand English! As time goes on, various people around Charlie reveal their secrets, and he becomes aware of a dastardly plot to swindle the lodge away from its rightful owner. He then decides to use his wits to try to help the good people around him and thwart the villains. "The Foreigner" is the most famous play by Milwaukee playwright Larry Shue, and we are proud to bring it to the LCP stage!
